The hot air within the basement ceiling then goes up the stairs towards the residing ground. I have smoke and CO detectors "on the best way" (of heat air) through the stove to the stairs. So I am not sucking all CO or smoke up close to the stove before it might access a detector. As an alternative I push it alongside detectors to the stairs.merchan
